SHOCKWAVE THERAPY

We use a state-of-the-art machine using Radial Pressure Wave technology. Designed to activate connective tissue from the surface level to difficult-to-reach pathologies, addressing pain and inflammation in muscular esqueletor conditions.

Shockwave therapy is a non-invasive treatment that stimulates the body’s natural healing process. It can relieve pain and promote the healing of injured tendons, ligaments, and other soft tissues.

This therapy Is a type of regenerative medicine used to treat tendinopathy as well as difficult-to-heal ligament injuries Some degenerative tendinopathies have an associated buildup of calcium in the tendon. Focused shock waves can break those deposits up.

There are two types of shockwave therapy. Usually, patients at Quantum Integrative Care receive both types:

  1. Focused shockwave therapy sends waves into a small area.
  2. Radial shockwave therapy delivers shockwaves over a broader area, for instance, along the length of an injured tendon.

May be used to:

  1. Reduce muscle pain and aches
  2. Increase circulation around injured soft tissues
  3. Break down calcified deposits
  4. Temporarily increase blood flow
  5. Stimulate cells that generate new bone tissue and connective tissue
  6. Reduce pain by overstimulating nerve endings in the affected area

If you have a musculoskeletal condition, you could benefit from shockwave therapy in the following ways:

It’s non-surgical. You can continue to live your life while you receive shockwave therapy for plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendinitis, knee pain, hamstring injuries, hip pain, gluteal tendinitis, bursitis, golfer or tennis elbow, shoulders injuries, and more.

Shockwave therapy can also be combined with a physical therapy program to get injured people back to work — or playing their favorite sport — faster. It’s an ideal treatment for athletes who do not yet want or need surgery for chronic pain or injuries.

It may help tough cases heal. For any type of tendinopathy
